Dogs In The Miscellaneous Class

The Wirehaired Vizsla is a medium-sized hunting dog.  They have an excellent nose for hunting and tracking; they are also adept at pointing and retrieving.  The hunters and falconers developed this breed in Hungary; their goal was a dog that could withstand harsh weather conditions and rough field conditions.  The Wirehaired Vizsla will be assigned to the Sporting Group.

The Spanish Water Dog is a curly-coated, medium-sized dog.  This breed is a multi-purpose farm dog whose main job is herding.  This is an old breed; although details of their beginning is not available.  The Spanish Water Dog will become part of the Herding Group.

Dogs In The Miscellaneous Class

The Peruvian Inca Orchid is an elegant sighthound developed in Peru.  The breed can be coated or hairless; and comes in three sizes (small, medium, and large).  The Peruvian Inca Orchid was first depicted on pottery dating back to 750 A.D.  These were the dogs owned by the Incas.  This breed has been assigned to the Hound Group.

The Lagotto Romagnolo is an ancient breed of water retrievers from Comacchio and Ravena, Italy.  It is believed that all the water breed dogs descended from the Lagotto Romagnolo.  This breed has been assigned to the Sporting Group.

The Coton de Tulear is from Madagascar; where it is also the known as the "Official Dog of Madagascar."  The breed is believed to be descendants of dogs from a shipwreck off the coast in Madagascar; dating back to sometime in the 1600's.
