Norwegian Lundehund

AKC recognizes the Norwegian Lundehund as its 169th breed; it is part of the Non-Sporting Group. The Norwegian Lundehund has some unique characteristics; six toes on each foot; prick ears that fold closed, forward or backward at will; and it can tip its head backward till it touches its backbone. They have a dense coat with color ranges from fallow to reddish brown to tan, black hair tips and white markings, or white with red or dark markings. The Norwegian Lundehund originated in the remote islands of arctic Norway.
