Net Quantity Statement - The net quantity statement tells consumers how much product is in the container or package. The FDA has many rules regarding the format, size, and placement of the net quantity statement. Consumers are encouraged to compare the cost per ounce or cost per pound on packages; package appearance can be deceiving.
