Update On Novartis Plant

This information was published from Novartis on December 8, 2012.  The Novartis plant that voluntarily shut down it's plant in Nebraska (operation of this plant was suspended in December 2011); is going through the slow process of pre-production and production stages at their facility.
There is still no definitive date when their products will resume shipping.  At least it appears things are moving forward once again.

The suspension of this facility has affected many consumers.  Here are some of the Animal Health brands that are produced at this plant:
  • Interceptor Flavor Tabs
  • Sentinel Flavor Tabs
  • Program Flavor Tabs
  • Deramaxx
  • Clomicalm
These products were safe and effective; when used according to package directions.  There were no veterinary product recalls associated with this plant shutdown.

I have used the Program Flavor Tabs for sixteen years; this product has been great for flea control with my Saints.  It has been very difficult to find this product this year; I am hopeful that full production at the Novartis plant will resume in 2013.
