Dogs and Pools

Most people think that a dog naturally knows how to swim, not true. They need to be taught. Pets just like children should never be left alone around a pool. Take the time to teach your dog the proper behavior for poolside. You don't want them running and jumping around the pool, it is much safer if they learn to be calm around a pool. Don't let your dog drink the chlorinated water in your pool. There are some dogs that love to be in a pool, just make sure you are there with them.
