The older dog may also need to relieve themselves more frequently.  It may become necessary to let them outdoors during the night for a potty break.  Some older dogs become incontinent and it becomes necessary to use fitted bloomers with a diaper inside.  Do not scold or discipline your older dog for urination or feces mishaps.
