Things to Consider (continues)

  1. Bathe your dog - You should regularly bathe your dog. If you chose to bathe them yourself, use a good shampoo, be prepared to spend more time rinsing than shampooing. You never want to leave any trace of shampoo on your dog's coat or skin. Make this an enjoyable experience, not one you both dread. Bathing your own dog, gives you the opportunity to go over their entire body to check for unusual growths, sores, bites, bumps, skin irriations; anything out of the ordinary. You just might find something that you should have your veterinarian to look at. Many people take their dogs to a groomer, this may work best for you as well.
