Basic Training

Start training your puppy when they are young.  Make it fun and keep the training sessions brief.  It is a good idea to keep the training commands as one word. Here are some commands to teach them:

  • Sit
  • Stay
  • Down
  • Stand
  • Come
  • Over
  • Wait
Training is something you should do on a daily basis.  You can use treats as rewards in the training process; but it is just as important to give them praise.  At first you may get frustrated with the lack of progress;don't give up try again later in the day or the next day.  Don't lose your temper with your puppy or dog.
