The Flat-Coated Retriever has a tail that never seems to stop wagging. Their coat colors are either black or liver and lay beautifully flat. This breed came from the cross-breeding of the Newfoundland, setter, sheepdog, and spaniels. The Flat-Coated Retriever was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1915.
