Dogs In The Sporting Group

The German Wirehaired Pointer is a multi-purpose hunting dog.  Their coat is water repellant and weather resistant; their outer coat is straight, harsh, wiry, and lays flat.  Their coat color must be liver and white.  The German Wirehaired Pointer has a distinctive face; giving them an almost human looking quality.  Just look at that wonderful moustache and you can't help but smile.  The German Wirehaired Pointer was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1959.
