Dogs In The Hound Group

The Dachshund has a great personality and sense of smell; in German Dachshund means badger dog.  The Dachshund has three coat types; smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired.  This is a hunter that works well on the ground or underground.  Historical records can trace this breed back to the 15th century.  The Dachshund was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1885.
