Dogs In The Hound Group

The Redbone Coonhound has a natural treeing instinct when it comes to hunting.  Early breeders concentrated on establishing gorgeous red coats; once that was achieved they moved on to performance hunters.  Their origins date back to the red foxhounds brought to the United States by Scottish immigrants.  The Redbone Coonhound was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2009.
