Dogs In The Hound Group

The Bluetick Coonhound gets its name from their coat pattern.  Did you know that George Washington had a Bluetick Coonhound that gave birth to 15 puppies?  The Bluetick Coonhound is descended from the Grand Bleu de Gascogne and the English Foxhound.  This breed gets the job done when trailing and treeing raccoons.  The Bluetick Coonhound was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2009.
